How we clean a roof
We scrape and brush off moss by hand, clear the gutters and valleys and treat the roof with a biocide to slow regrowth. We take care not to damage tiles and we check each slope for slipped, cracked or loose tiles as we go.
Moss will return in damp conditions, so we explain what to expect and how often to repeat the treatment. If the tiles are breaking down we tell you, because cleaning cannot fix a roof that is worn out.

High-pressure washing can damage concrete tile surfaces and push water under tiles, so we avoid it. We use gentler methods and hand removal where needed.
How long before the moss comes back?
It depends on shade, damp and how the roof is built. Treatment slows regrowth, and an occasional re-treatment keeps the roof clean.
Will cleaning make my roof last longer?
Removing moss keeps water from sitting against tiles and blocking gutters, which helps the roof. It cannot fix a roof that is already failing.
