How we remove and refit panels
We isolate the system safely, take photos and notes of the layout and wiring, and remove panels and rails. Panels are stored on site or off site so they are not damaged. When the roof work is done we refit the rails and panels, reconnect and test the system and check it is generating correctly.
If we are also doing the roof work, it is all one job, with one quote and one guarantee. If you have a different roofer, we can work with them. We tell you about any panel damage or defects found along the way.

Do it at the same time as the roof work

Please do not. Panels are live in daylight, heavy and on the roof. Isolation and removal should be done by a competent installer.
Will removal affect my warranty?
It can if done badly. We follow the manufacturer’s guidance and refit with correct fixings. Check your warranty terms if you are unsure.
How long are the panels off?
It depends on the roof work, from a day or two for a repair to a week or more for a re-roof.
