Do you give free quotes?
Yes. Surveys and quotes are free and come with no obligation. Every quote is written, itemised and a fixed price.
Do I need a new roof before I get solar panels?
Not always. If your roof is sound we can fit panels as it is. If it is near the end of its life it is cheaper to re-roof first. See solar panels.
How long does a roof repair take?
Most repairs are done in a day. We put a timescale in writing with the quote. See roof repairs.
How long does a new roof take?
A typical house takes a few days to a week, depending on size, complexity and weather. See new roofs.
How long does a solar installation take?
Most homes are done in one to two days on the roof, plus the electrical work and testing. We give you a programme with the quote. See solar panels.
What is the difference between a flat roof material like EPDM and GRP?
EPDM is a rubber membrane laid in one sheet; GRP is fibreglass laminated in place with a hard, seamless finish. Both can last for decades when fitted well. See flat roofs.
Do I need planning permission?
Repairs and like-for-like re-roofing usually do not. Solar panels on most houses are permitted development, but listed buildings and some conservation areas have extra rules. We check before we quote.
Do you offer a guarantee?
Yes. We give a written guarantee on our workmanship. The details are in your quote.
Can you fit a battery later?
Often, yes, if the inverter and the wiring allow it. We tell you at survey whether to fit a battery now or leave room for one. See solar battery storage.
